The design

Blue lines, clean look

Thunder pairs a black Nomex® shell with bright blue piping, a clean look that suits blue cars and sponsor colors without busy graphics.

It’s a single-layer SFI 3.2A/1 suit cut to your measurements. Your designer can keep the blue lines or recolor them, and lay out your name, number and logos on the proof.

Thunder suit questions

01Can the piping match my car’s colors?

Yes. Send your car’s colors or a photo with the design form, and your designer matches the piping, or recolors the whole suit, on the free proof.

02Who is a single-layer suit like Thunder for?

Drivers whose class accepts SFI 3.2A/1, the single-layer grade for lower-risk racing. If your rulebook asks for SFI 3.2A/5, choose Cobra, the same design in double layer.

03Do I need fire-resistant underwear with Thunder?

Plan on it. SFI recommends FR underwear with every suit, and SCCA and NASA require it with an SFI 3.2A/1 suit. See what to wear under a race suit.

04How much does the Thunder suit cost?

$699 with free custom gloves ($150 value), or $799 with free custom gloves and shoes ($400 value). Options such as arm-restraint D-rings ($20) are priced separately.
